Two years working one corridor, in three languages.
IB7 Consulting advises companies and investors on market entry and foreign direct investment across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Incorporated federally in 2024 and based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Cross-border decisions, made in the right order.
We help two kinds of client: companies opening a market they have not sold into before, and investors placing capital in a country they do not yet operate in. Both face the same four questions at different stakes, and both lose money the same way — by taking them out of order.
The work runs across three layers: Consulting & Intelligence, Soft Landing, and Air Cargo. Underneath them sits the IB7 EDGE method, which decides what happens when.
We are not a law firm, an accounting practice or a freight forwarder, and we do not pretend to be. Regulated work is carried out by licensed firms in the country where it is regulated. What IB7 holds is the mandate, the sequence and accountability for the outcome — so the client deals with one firm rather than coordinating four.
Everything is delivered in English, Spanish or French, natively. A Mexican counterparty reading a proposal written in Spanish is having a different conversation from one reading a translation.
One corridor by choice. The method travels.
The North American corridor
Canada, the United States and Mexico under CUSMA. We concentrate our delivery capacity, partner network and jurisdiction data here rather than spreading thin — that concentration is precisely what makes our scoring credible. We would rather be genuinely strong in three jurisdictions than nominally present in thirty.
Europe, and elsewhere on request
The method is jurisdiction-agnostic — a sequence of questions and gates, not a database of one region. We maintain an active European focus, with relationships built through our founder's years in France, and we take engagements in other markets as special requests with local partners. We say so plainly when a market is one where we cannot add enough value to justify the fee.
Small, senior, and in the room.
Clients deal with the people who do the work. There is no layer of associates between the principal and the file.

Three commitments.
We will tell you not to go
A documented decision not to enter a market is a legitimate deliverable, and often the most profitable one. It is also the outcome most advisors are structurally reluctant to produce.
We state our limits
Where our coverage stops, our pages say so. Air cargo runs Canada to Mexico and not the United States; Soft Landing covers Canada and Mexico with the US in development.
You can challenge our work
Every result comes with its inputs and sources. You can argue with any of it. The model's internals remain ours.
Start with a conversation, not a proposal.
Thirty minutes. You describe the market you are considering; we tell you which phase you are in and what closing it involves.
